02The short version

Fieper is a local-first app. All your data stays on your device. The app has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. We do not collect, receive, store, or sell any personal data.

03Data stored on your device only

The app stores the data you enter — pet profiles, enclosures, care schedules, task completions, health logs (weight, digestive, dental, photo checks), expenses, photos, and app preferences (language, units) — in a local database and local storage on your device. This data never leaves your device unless you yourself export or share it.

04Backups and exports

Backup files (.pocketpets) and data exports are created only when you trigger them. Where they are stored or shared (e.g. your cloud folder, a messenger, e-mail) is entirely your choice; the app itself does not upload them anywhere. If you enable scheduled auto-export, backups are written to the folder you selected on your device.

05Notifications

Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. No push notification service or server is involved.

06App permissions

• Camera / photo library — only used when you take or attach photos of your pet. Photos are stored locally with your app data.
• Notifications — only used for the care reminders you configure.

07App updates (the one network contact)

To deliver bug fixes, the app checks Expo's update service (EAS Update, operated by Expo, Inc., USA) for a newer version of the app's code when it starts. This request transmits technical information required to answer it (such as your IP address, app version, and platform) but none of your app data — no pet data, health logs, photos, or settings are ever transmitted. 08Your rights (GDPR)

Because we hold no personal data about you on any server, requests for access, correction, or deletion can be fulfilled directly by you on your device: your data is in the app, and deleting the app (or its data in the system settings) permanently deletes everything. For any privacy question, contact the address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

09Children

The app does not collect data from anyone, including children.

10Changes

If a future version introduces optional online features, this policy will be updated first and the change will be clearly communicated in the app.
